BATIK PAINTING
Indonesia is recognized to be a high place of manufacter for teak furnitures,
in particular Java Island center situed in the heart of forest production.
This is why the founder and President of PT Grandisindo Prima, Jean CROUZIER,
joined to Indonesian Partners to manufacter and export on Europe a complete
range for the professionals of furnitures.
A particular accent is given with the decoration in Batik for the interior
pieces of furnitures.
Art Batik exists since hundreds of year for fabrics worn at the time of
religious ceremony.
Since 1970 it is made on wood with a process which remains the same one,
by applying wax to a drawing created by means of a tool called «Canthing
» equiped with a small tank.
After colouring wax is washed to obtain this artistic finishing.
